Simon Morris, ‘At the Movies’ host, Radio New Zealand

Simon Morris, host of Radio New Zealand’s ‘At the Movies’ show reviews Song of the Kauri calling it “simply wonderful film making … brilliantly shot by Swami Hansa and particularly edited by Annie Collins”. He goes on to say that he was somewhat surprised at the depth of the “fascinating side trips into the history and politics of the wood, that in many ways helped build our nation.”

Morris explains “It’s not the story that makes a film, it’s how it’s told, and of the three documentaries I saw this week it was Song of the Kauri that kept my interest all the way through – a beautifully realised piece of work.”
