Miranda Adams, Musician

Miranda is the Associate Concert Master with the Auckland Philharmonia Orchestra. She was born in Dunedin and studied with Pamela Bryce, Elsa Jensen and Charmain Gadd.

She has vast chamber music experience with the Nelson String Quartet, Bleu Quartet, Manifesto Trio, Tasman Trio, Bravura and Vivo. She has commissioned several works for violin and also leads the Auckland Gamelan group in traditional Indonesian music.

She and director Mathurin Molgat has been friends for many years and she was filmed for SOTK in her lounge, west of Auckland where she lives with violist Rob Ashworth, their children and their horses.
